Completing the lectures the students should be able to understand and apply software development approaches for developing production automation systems during the different phases within the V-Model. The students should then be able to handle complex software projects in industrial automation.
Goal of the lecture is getting to know new approaches for the development of industrial systems such as production automation systems and automotive systems. Every step of the development process is focused during the lecture starting from a structured requirements specification and modern requirements management. Subsequently, model-based approaches for developing production automation systems are presented especially regarding aspects such as modularity, variants and versions. Quality assurance is another important aspect of the lecture and is addressed by looking at automated testing and model-based testing approaches. Especially, the topics above are also looked at from automotive software engineering perspective with an emphasize on model-based development framework, AutoSar. Besides the theoretical part of the lecture practical sessions will be held, where the content of the lecture is learned in practice by using current software tools and a production automation system from the chair related engineering languages (e.g. IEC61131-3 and UML) and various techniques are discussed and practiced.
Industrielle Softwareentwicklung 1 and Automatisierungstechnik 1 are advantegous. Especially knowledge of programming Programmable Logic Controllers using IEC 61131-3 (for example from visiting Automatisierungstechnik 1) are an advantage but not a prerequisite.
